Ronaldinho, the world player of the year for two straight years in 2005 and 2006, is still one of the best players in the world and easily one of the greatest footballers of all time. This Brazilian born virtuoso is renowned for his aggressive going at defenders with all the tricks in the book, and is celebrated for his incredible knack for scoring important goals. He started at PSG in Paris, but became the living god he is at FC Barcelona.
He won his major awards there, and became the worlds most famous football player. However, due to the emergence of the world’s current best player Lionel Messi, and his penchant for late nights and less-than-enthusiastic training regiment, Ronaldinho was sold to Italian powerhouse AC Milan. His first season was a transitional but he has had a great emergence since then. Finding a permanent role on the left, and embracing the fact that he can’t beat three defenders in a row with blinding speed, Ronaldinho has evolved into a greater passer, second striker, and set piece specialist.
